Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

Repair and maintain the computer-controlled systems and robotic devices used in our production area, with the goal to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

    Three to five years of experience with computerized machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of HMI software, knowledge of PLC's, ability to troubleshoot automated machines, ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management. Have a good command of the English language.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Light to moderate physical effort required.
  • Ability to lift or maneuver equipment in excess of 40+lbs.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This is a fast-paced work environment with consistent pressure to complete duties as outlined above which requires ability to manage multiple projects at a detailed level and provide support to many internal departments in a fast-changing environment. Many duties listed above are time-sensitive and have strict deadlines for completion.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
  • Works with Maintenance Mechanics and Machine Operators to analyze mechanical and computer-controlled problems on assigned equipment and plan for/take corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Reviews production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, changes over equipment to new sizes or performs scheduled maintenance.
  • Tests equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Tries out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
  • Examines, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms. Checks product for visual defects.
  • Makes preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings to the Maintenance Supervisor, and takes appropriate action.
  • Responsible for keeping accurate records on each job.
  • Maintains the tool room and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Effective utilization of required systems, including HQMS, Sage 500 ERP/DSCS, and handheld scanners.
  • Ensures established safety protocol is followed.
