Job Description

Mgr, Credit & Collections

We are looking for a Credit and Collections Manager to join our team. This individual is responsible for establishing credit lines for new customers, collecting on delinquent accounts and resolving credit related issues, through effective and efficient use of department staff.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve significant credit issues, and approve applications for new or increased credit
  • Manage Credit and Collections department, supervising, coaching, mentoring, etc.
  • Contact delinquent customers
  • Prepare credit/collection analysis and reports.
  • Manage collection process; posts customer payments paid by check
  • Monitor processing of customer's invoices
  • Research unauthorized deductions taken by customers
  • Process customer credits for authorized deductions
  • Reconcile accounts for top customers
  • Analyze customer records for discrepancies
  • Maintain sales tax exemption records for all customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience

  • Strong knowledge and application of GAAP / Debits Credits / Financial Statement Analysis
  • Knowledge of SOX guidelines
  • Solid organizational and analytical abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills; MS Office
  • Leadership/Coaching ability
