Job Description

THE ROLE: Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting (Temporary)

The Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting will work closely with the Senior Accountants, Corporate Accounting to provide support to various departments (Technology, Fixed Assets, etc.).

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting (Temporary):

  • Facilitate development of monthly accrual workbooks and monthly journal entries for various corporate accounting expense areas.
  • Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various general ledger asset and liability accounts, including prepaid expenses, accrual liabilities, and debt liabilities
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation process for various AETN bank accounts
  • Assist with monthly fixed asset invoice processing for proper general ledger codingand preparation of fixed asset reconciliation for review by senior accountant
  • Facilitate preparation of quarterly reforecast workbooks for various corporate accounting cost centers and general ledger accounts
  • Perform ad hoc analyses (including review of actual results vs. budgets or forecasts) for various corporate accounting expense areas as requested by senior management
  • Roll forward month-end close / forecast / budget schedules, reconciliations, and other workpapers
  • Collaborate with various AETN departments and team members as needed

YOUR STORY

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Proven track record in accounting (2 - 5 years)
  • Microsoft Suite experience (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience with accounting systems preferred (especially SAP)
  • Understanding of marketing partnerships from conception to execution
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills needed, and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter, driven to seek out new opportunities
  • Adaptability, comfortable with shifting deadlines and direction
  • Detailed-oriented and extremely organized
  • Must have the ability to work independently, efficiently and be able to meet deadlines under strict time constraints

Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third-party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.

CompensationContract Hourly Pay Rate: $41.00
