Senior Sales Support Engineer

In today's competitive market, ensuring top-notch support for our sales team is critical for sustained growth and client satisfaction. We are seeking a professional with a robust background in BHS/Conveyor Electrical Installation, backed by a Master Electrical License and comprehensive expertise in estimating, code compliance, and data management. This role will play a pivotal part in streamlining our sales processes, enhancing client relations, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Support Sales Engineers on specific areas and develop (new) content, methods, and tooling to contribute to the output quality and response time of the Sales Engineering department
  • In this role you will support sales engineers from different regions so being able to work with colleagues that have diverse backgrounds and cultures is important
  • Major part of the support is done remotely so clear communication between the Sales Support Engineer and the Sales Engineering department is key
  • Sales Support Engineer needs to be competent within specific areas (such as pricing, coordination of procurement items, analysis of costing and pricing data, etc.) to be able to advise and support sales engineers
  • The sales environment is fast and dynamic and therefore requires a flexible attitude and careful planning skills
  • Identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking
  • To work with key business stakeholders, and multi-jurisdictional 'Continuous Improvement/lean champions', to build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing program of change
  • To support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working
  • To elicit requirements and drive process change using staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, business analysis and workflow analysis
  • Report monthly project status of all CI efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Masters Electrical License
  • 10+ years of experience in BHS/Conveyor Electrical Installation & associated code compliance
  • 2+ years of continuous improvement development
  • 2+ years of experience in project management and business analysis
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced sales environment
  • Work well in multi-disciplinary team(s)
  • Basic estimating and calculation skills
  • Basic understanding of continuous improvement concepts
  • Ability to set-up, facilitate and lead improvement workshop sessions with a range of business stakeholders to gather details required to fulfil objectives.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Support of hands-on implementation of continuous improvement programs and lean solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts
  • Strong analytical and task management skills
  • Prepared to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
