Order Processing Associate

Summary / Position Purpose:

The Order Processor handles all aspects of order handling, order processing, and shipping. They support the customer order workflow and ensure a superior customer experience.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Create and analyze customer and vendor Purchase Orders
  • Review and process customer web orders
  • Process order changes and cancellations
  • Ensure accuracy of vendor order confirmations and address issues and discrepancies
  • Follow up with vendors to obtain status regarding ship dates and tracking information
  • Escalate complex customer problems or vendor issues to the appropriate manager
  • Respond promptly to warehouse shipping problems
  • Ensure all customer orders ship on time and from the correct warehouse
  • Work with Accounting to ensure all wires are applied to correct customer orders
  • Review below minimum Purchase Orders to prevent inventory delay
  • Analyze all International orders to make sure they follow all export controls and laws
  • Work with our Overseas team to facilitate efficiencies and determine fraud
  • Coordinate with TestEquity to ensure accuracy of product and price that flows through both divisions
  • Verify customer orders and ensure fraud prevention policy is followed
Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associates/Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, but not required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 3-5 years of experience in either customer service or purchasing/order processing
  • Knowledge of export control and law preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills, ability to multi-task
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment, and positive attitude
  • Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule; remote and in person
  • Must be willing to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment that can pivot easily as well

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
