Job Description

Purpose of Job:

The Modern Workplace Strategy Director at Black Box aims to drive growth and expansion by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and fostering relationships with clients or customers. Their primary purpose is to increase revenue, profitability, and market share through effective sales strategies, market analysis, and product/service positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • CXO Level Strategy Development: Collaborate with existing customers at the CXO level to define and enhance strategies for end-user capabilities.
  • Innovative Technology Partnerships: Partner with leading technology firms in conversational and generative AI to develop omnichannel solutions, such as automated voice translation services.
  • Sales Enablement: Provide sales enablement, coaching, and mentoring to Technical Sales Specialists and Account Sales Executives.
  • Customer Negotiations: Lead customer contract negotiations, including SLAs, KPIs, and financial models that promote beneficial behaviors, driving adoption of self-help, self-heal, and automated resolutions.
  • Profit-Driven Solutions: Develop solutions that allow for higher margins on lower-cost resolution methods, incentivizing both the customer and the company to adopt more efficient resolution strategies.
  • Proposal Management: Oversee the proposal response process, ensuring detailed attention to RFP requirements, content creation, and collaboration with various sources.
  • Business Development: Generate new leads, identify and engage decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, align deals with strategic goals, and manage pitch logistics.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute an overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, establishing sales processes, structure, and best practices company-wide.
  • Deal Negotiation: Support deal structuring and pricing with business-value analysis, and negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.
  • Professional Development: Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations, and share insights with the team.
  • Industry Analysis: Monitor industry trends and customer drivers, and regularly engage with management and stakeholders to align strategy.

Key Competencies

  • Manage both the existing sales pipeline and the development of new business opportunities.
  • Maintain a lead role in developing new business proposals/presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships.
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term per assigned targets.
  • Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new-venture integration.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegating tasks to achieve strategic goals.
  • Motivate the team, track performance, and report metrics.

Qualifications

  • Successful track record with enterprise scale sales of Digital Workplace Technologies and Services.
  • In-depth technical and financial understanding of Workplace Technologies, Unified Communications & CX Solutions
  • Must have 12+years experience in a technical advisory and/or sales capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources.
